Looks for You 2010
Time for glamour: the Schwarzkopf Looks 2010

Who are this season’s style icons? What are the latest trends in colour, form and cut? What are the fashions of tomorrow? Together with Schwarzkopf, Armin Morbach has returned a fourth time to develop the Schwarzkopf Looks for You for 2010. One of his strengths, alongside his flair for identifying new visions amongst the floods of inspiration and translating them into wearable looks, is the professional and creative way he applies it all. Four fashionable looks have been born to represent this new age of glamour. Untamed curls, edgy bobs, voluminous waves and cool updos – where luxurious styling is always at the forefront. Put simply, the Schwarzkopf Looks 2010 are elegant, contemporary and wearable.

The Combback
The Combback
Luxurious, strong and cool

The Look:
Eighties flair meets fifties hair. Tippi Hedren dances with Margarethe Ley and Marc Jacobs in a New York club. Her style: a mixture of disco glam and office chic. The businesswoman look with powerful shoulders – luxurious, strong and cool. Updos are back with a vengeance in 2010.

Cut and Styling:
Blonde styles as worn by Eva Padberg lend them a cool eighties touch. Nevertheless, when combined with other colours, they create a much more modern look than the rigid image from yesterday may at first suggest.

Strictly pulled up and pushed forward to create a subtle wave, these styles unite sexy and sleek updos with a cool, new-wave look. Elegantly interpreted and styled with a small quiff, updos are given marvellous diva flair.

‘This is a look for strong, trend-conscious women,’ states Schwarzkopf hair expert Armin Morbach. ‘The most important styling tools to create it are hair rollers and hairspray for an extra-strong hold.’

Bloom Intense
Bloom Intense
A romantic, innocent yet simultaneously mysterious look

The Look:
Bloom Intense is a romantic, innocent yet simultaneously mysterious look, perfectly embodied by a young Jennifer Lopez or Megan Fox. Seventies power meets floral prints. A grown-up Lolita steps out in a short, innocent yet sexy floral look or a long, flowing robe.

Cut and Styling:

Her hair is layered softly, flowing over the shoulders in a mid-length to long style. The colours: light to dark brown with subtle highlights to bring life to natural nuances.

Perms from the seventies are given a modern twist as curls are revealed in a completely new dimension. Large waves frame the face, falling voluptuously and wildly over the shoulders.

In short styles, the hair is backcombed slightly. Together with smoky eyes and nude make-up, this creates an urban, young look with an unconventional touch.

Eastbeat
Eastbeat
A young, independent street look

The Look:
2010: John Lennon meets Yoko Ono on the streets of London. Eastbeat is a young, independent street look – rock ‘n’ roll and rebellious at the same time. The beat of the 60s, the androgynous look of the young Beatles.

Cut and Styling:

Long live the bob! The avant-garde girl wears the bob in a new style – less conservative with an edgier touch. The cut looks best with a long fringe in dark brown to black hair.

‘A hairdryer, round brush and shine spray are the ultimate tools for this look,’ says Schwarzkopf hair expert Armin Morbach. ‘The smooth transition at the back of the head takes away some of the strict accuracy of its earlier versions.’

Layered alternatives add variety to the cut.

Hollyred
Hollyred
Glamorous, shiny and mysterious

The Look:
Long live glamour: In times of economic instability, an international ‘recession chic’ countermovement rises up in resilience. The signal colour red intertwines with the water wave look of the twenties to create an exhilarating combination.

Cut and Styling:
Glamorous waves, endless volume, shiny and mysterious – this is hair à la Hollywood. If model Lily Cole were an American actress and Rita Hayworth’s best friend, Hollyred would be her look.

Long, fringeless styles in intense red pour over the shoulders in generous, shiny curls. One side is styled sleek behind the ear.

Enhanced by make-up in nude tones with emphasis on the eyes, Hollyred reveals its romantic, soft side.
